Terms & Conditions

1. The Service

Code In Plain lets you load a public or authorised GitHub repository, browse its files, and generate AI-assisted explanations (a file “Overview” or a “Line-by-Line” gloss) of that code. Explanations are produced using third-party large language models. Browsing code is free; AI explanations are paid for using credits (see Section 5). The Service is delivered entirely online; there is no physical product and nothing is shipped.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

3. Acceptable Use

You agree that you will not:

We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or harms the Service or other users.

4. AI-Generated Content — Important Disclaimer

Explanations are generated by artificial-intelligence models and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading. They are provided for convenience and learning only and are not professional, legal, security, or engineering advice. You must independently verify any output before relying on it, and you remain solely responsible for decisions you make based on it. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Please also read our standalone Disclaimer.

5. Credits, Plans & Billing

6. Renewal, Cancellation & How Each Payment Method Works

Refunds, where applicable, are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

7. Intellectual Property & Your Content

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Sifarhub and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms.

You retain all rights to the code and content you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited licence to process Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service — including transmitting it to our AI and infrastructure providers to generate explanations, and storing cached results as described in our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit Your Content for this purpose.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including AI model providers, authentication and database hosting, source-code retrieval (GitHub), payment processors (Stripe and Razorpay), and web hosting. Your use of the Service may also be subject to those providers’ terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability is outside our control.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and the third parties that process it, and our Cookie & Local Storage Policy lists everything stored in your browser. By using the Service, you consent to those practices.

10. Service Availability & Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, and may change features, plans, or pricing, at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes. We are not liable for any unavailability, maintenance, or modification of the Service.

11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service or any AI output will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sifarhub and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sifarhub and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, or your breach of these Terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if required by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (including Sections 4, 7, 11, 12, and 14) will survive.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Amravati, Maharashtra, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
